Freshly salted Kampot peppers (peas) are green peppers in a sea salt brine . We eat these peppers unground. They are soft and crunchy at the same time, which is why many call them pepper caviar. It will be a small explosion in your mouth! The taste of green pepper is mildly spicy, the spiciness gradually intensifies and lingers on the palate, the aroma is fresh, reminiscent of the aroma of fresh grass. Green pepper is obtained from ripe, but not yet fully ripe Piper Nigrum berries, the collected berries are poured with brine. In this way, they are preserved and remain maximally fresh and fragrant when sealed in a vacuum package. These peppers go well with appetizers with wine and when tasting various types of cheese. A sauce with green pepper, especially suitable for steak, is a great way to get acquainted with the taste of these peppers.
